# Human Passport Agent-readable snapshot of Human Passport, a product of human.tech, built by Holonym Foundation. Facts only. Last updated: 2026-08-12. Human Passport is proof of personhood built by aggregating many independent identity checks into a single score, rather than relying on one verification method. Previously named Gitcoin Passport; acquired by Holonym Foundation in December 2024. Sorted by concept first, then products, then surfaces, so an agent reading top to bottom has the vocabulary before the links. ## Terms used below - Proof of personhood: evidence that an account belongs to a real, unique human rather than to a bot or to one person operating many accounts. - Sybil attack: one person creating many identities to take a share of something meant to be distributed per person. - Stamp: a single verified identity check attached to a Passport, for example a government ID check, a phone number, or on-chain activity. - Unique Humanity Score: the aggregate of a Passport's Stamps. Projects gate on a threshold; the default passing threshold is 20 and projects may set their own. - Zero-knowledge proof: a proof that a statement is true which reveals nothing beyond the statement itself. ## Why aggregation rather than one method A single-method system fails completely if its method is spoofed, compromised, or unavailable in a user's region. Aggregating independent checks means the system degrades gradually instead. This is the architectural difference from verifiers built on one biometric or one document type. ## Products - Passport Embed: a drop-in widget for gating an action behind proof of personhood. Free to integrate. - Individual Verifications, also called Human ID: compliance-grade checks including government ID, sanctions screening and liveness, issued as zero-knowledge proofs so the verifying party receives an attestation rather than the underlying documents. Proof of Clean Hands is issued here. - Data Services: retroactive Sybil detection for projects that have already run a campaign and need the participant list cleaned before distribution. - Custom Passport: configurable Passport instances with project-specific scoring. - Identity Staking: economic cost of forgery, by staking on identity claims. - Models API: machine-learning analysis of on-chain behaviour, scored without any user action. ## Surfaces - https://passport.human.tech — product surface for users and integrators. - https://passport.human.tech/embed — Passport Embed. - https://passport.human.tech/verification — verification flows for users. - https://passport.human.tech/data — Data Services. - https://passport.human.tech/staking — Identity Staking. - https://passport.human.tech/privacy — how Passport handles personal data: which Stamp types exist and what each one reveals, what is hashed rather than stored, and where zero-knowledge proofs and the Human Network are used.
