Season 2 of the HUMN campaign introduces The Covenant and the $HUMN ecosystem, shifting from verification to contribution and community governance.
Human Passport started with a simple conviction: web3 needs real people. While incentives bring attention, this attention needs guardrails; otherwise, it turns into noise, driven by bots and fake identities. Passport exists to verify real human participation, without giving up on privacy.
TL;DR
HUMN Season 1 closed with 68,838 unique humans participating.
During Season 1, 38,599 Human Passports were minted onchain across Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Linea, zkSync, and Scroll. Those scores can now be accessed by partners directly onchain, without API integration.
Season 2 shifts the focus from proving you’re human to what you can do with that proof, through The Covenant of Human Tech and the $HUMN ecosystem. The path to the $HUMN token continues with users expressing their unique humanity to manifest human-aligned technology.
Manifesting means signing The Covenant of Humanistic Technologies declaration and actively contributing ideas, values, and participation that shape how the human.tech ecosystem is built and governed. Signers get 1,000 extra HUMN Points towards their existing score, and a group of early signers will receive a limited-edition art NFT.

With 120 partners and over 170 campaigns behind us, HUMN onchain SUMR Season 1 was about taking what already works and inviting the community to prove their humanity onchain, one verified presence at a time. Now it’s time to reveal the next step–Season 2.

HUMN Season 1: wrap-up
Season 1 was a prelude, focused entirely on Passport; a long summer that put us into real onchain flows. HUMN Points helped capture the attention of many previously unfamiliar with the product, giving new users a reason to create a Passport and understand what it’s for. Those who already used Passport before got extra perks, including a 2x points multiplier.

What happened in Season 1
Users collected HUMN Points in the Passport App while proving their unique humanity. The Unique Humanity Score of 20 was an initial eligibility criterion.
Returning users received bonuses like 2x Multiplier, 3x Campaign Participant, MetaMask OG, Passport OG, and the Chosen One, while all users were able to build their score with Human Key Creator bonuses.
HUMN Points exemplify users’ humanity and are proof of their onchain presence. The Passports created during the campaign can further be used in the Passport-protected campaigns.
Over 38K Onchain Passports were created during the campaign, representing nearly 20,000 humans who chose to mint onchain across the chains. Partners can access those scores directly onchain with Onchain Passport functionality, without API integration.
In short, Season 1 was about verifying unique human participation in a self-sovereign and private way. Nearly 70K humans earned HUMN Points towards ecosystem incentives. With that foundation in place, we now invite users to express their unique humanity.

Season 2 is about what you can do with that proof.
Season 2 has begun!
In Season 2, the campaign expands beyond the Passport App and moves to manifest.human.tech. While Passport remains the foundation of our efforts, The Covenant becomes a forum for the advancement of Humanistic Technology built on the $HUMN token.
The Covenant is the precursor to the DAO that will steward the future of the human.tech stack. Part design-philosophy, part governance constitution, the Covenant will begin as a medium for the exchange of ideas, art, and research pieces to establish the culture of $HUMN.

Today, we are formally introducing The Covenant of Humanistic Technologies to the Human Passport community. This is an occasion to move from verification to participation, and from access to stewardship.
What is The Covenant?
The Covenant refers to three interlocking components:
A living set of design principles
A growing body of artifacts and ideas
A DAO for stewardship and governance
The Covenant is intended to evolve through progressive contribution, debate, and iteration. Engineers, activists, artists, researchers, and thinkers are all first-class participants.
Culture, history, and direction of The Covenant community
The ideas behind The Covenant were incubated in close-knit circles for over two years. Since its public emergence in June 2025 at Funding the Commons, Berlin, it has been forming in the open.

Resources will be deployed through HUMN Grants to advance the adoption of $HUMN.
Long-term stewardship of the human.tech stack, including protocol parameters and decisions, will be guided by community experts and qualified stewards.
This ensures that control over critical digital infrastructure does not consolidate with centralized actors, corporations, or states, but remains accountable to the humans it serves.
Human verification still matters; it is the foundation. Our philosophy and offerings stem from a simple belief: being a real, unique human is enough. The Human Network empowers Passport users with a secure and private proof that you’re a person (not a bot or a duplicate). Any node can join the Human Network and earn $HUMN for powering a trustless Proof of Humanity. Verified humans are invited to contribute to culture, ideas, and shared governance.

How to join the movement
To join The Covenant community and participate in Season 2, visit manifest.human.tech and complete the following steps:
Step 1: Read and sign the Covenant.
Once you’re redirected, click “Let’s Begin” to start. You’ll be prompted to read The Covenant and later, to sign it. In the process, you will create a cryptographic signature attesting to the Covenant Principles and human-aligned intent. You’re welcome to share your pledge with others on X.
Step 2: Verify your Humanity.
As fully verified unique humans, most Passport users will be able to skip this step. If you’re not human-verified already, go to the Human Passport app and obtain a score of 20 or higher, or verify directly with a biometric scan (first 10,000 new users only). Verified humans can upvote to show support for the submitted artifacts and create new proposals or artifacts.
Step 3: Upvote Projects.
After you verify your humanity, you will have an influence over which submissions should be approved and minted to The Covenant. To upvote artifacts, navigate to the Discover tab. You can upvote both Approved and Submitted works.
Step 4: Express your Humanity. (optional)
If you have an idea, submit an artifact (proposal, art, writing, research, or creative work) to contribute to the cultural corpus curated by the Covenant community. Artifacts may be curated by the community’s core contributors and minted as an NFT to the humn.eth multisig. Curated members are candidates for HUMN Grants and other opportunities within the community.

Step 5: Activate Participation. (optional)
Participation takes many forms. You might join a working group to build something real, mentor projects aligned with your expertise, step forward to be considered as a curator, help shape governance, contribute to core protocols or operations, or bring people together by hosting a local meetup.
Step 6: Join the Discussion.
Join the community on Discord. Community channels on Discord provide ongoing coordination, updates, and discussion. Roles, responsibilities, and contribution paths will continue to evolve as The Covenant, what we are calling the human.tech DAO, matures.
Rewards
1,000 HUMN Points assigned for signing The Covenant declaration.
Limited-edition NFT by one of our curated artists. Given the finite nature of those NFTs, they will only be available for a certain number of signing members.
Season 2 is early by design, rewarding curiosity, initiative, and alignment. Beyond signing, there is no fixed path or required output, and no expectation beyond being human and participating in good faith. The Covenant is a space to think, build, and decide together what human-aligned technology should become.

Do I need Human Passport to participate?
